Generic Position Summary
As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized and technical knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Development Management, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes for own department in alignment with broader business objectives. Responsible for selection, supervision, and development of staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Specific Job Summary

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Architecture & Construction (A&C) will be a full-time in Region Architecture and Construction resource managing and leading project(s) through all typical stages (e.g. planning, preconstruction, delivery, turnover, and occupancy) and/or phases of a development project through occupancy and turnover to the operator, responsible for brand compliance, quality, budget and on time delivery. Project types can include new resort development, villa refurbishments, sales center delivery and renovations, and both developer-owned and COA-owned Capital Assets (Real Estate Fixed Assets) of resort properties. The Assistant Vice President A&C acts as single-point accountability for delivering a portfolio of projects on schedule, within budget, in compliance with brand standards and for developing and managing an overall project execution plan with a focus on problem avoidance, the delivery of cost-effective predictable results, and the marshalling of appropriate resources required to enable the achievement of MVW’s business goals and objectives.

Specific Expected Contributions

Project Planning
Schedules and coordinates internal and external A&C resources for all projects to meet process schedule(s).
Coordinates and facilitates completion of deliverables required to complete Consulting, Early Project Assessments through Business Planning, coordinating efforts of the Design Architects, Estimators, and Entitlements.
Partners with the Project Planning Team (Developer, Feasibility, Development Finance, Marketing Operations, Core Operations, Revenue Management, Brand and SDT) for successful completion of an executable, financially feasible business plan.
Ensures that appropriate design, entitlement analysis and estimating materials are provided to Feasibility and Development Finance for the compilation of the financial analysis.
Coordinates and facilitates completion of all A&C deliverables required to complete the BP process, including Conceptual Design and Schematic Design, or up to the point of Corporate Growth Committee (CGC) and/or Board of Directors (BOD) approval(s).
Coordinates the timely delivery of all requested/required A&C services and input to the Project Planning Team(s) and ensures that the Project Planning Team(s) has the necessary support and resources to meet benchmarks and provide deliverables on time, budget, and in a
