The Gingin team are looking for a Quality Champion who will assist with the function of Blueberry production and drive a positive Quality culture for 2023 and beyond.

**About the Role**:
The role of Quality Champion is to support the Quality Assurance Safety Manager in the development of culture to enhance quality for our handpicked high-grade Blueberries.
You will work in a role of support and training for the harvest and post-harvest teams alongside the Supervisors to ensure the quality and safety of the fruit is at a high standard demonstrating why Costa / Driscolls fruit is premium.

You will be responsible in supporting the Quality Assurance Safety Manager to maximise production, food safety training but to also help run the whole farm as audit ready.

This role includes.
- Product Quality specifications. Understanding product defects and the effect on quality scores and yes, this does include sensory testing such as tasting blueberries
- Monitor shelf-life samples for fresh and frozen products that we sell locally and export
- Maintain and support accurate data collection, retrieval and analysis for Quality and verification for Food Safety
- Work within the scope of our Food Safety Standards to protect our customers with safest, tastiest Blueberries. Our audited standards are, Freshcare. HARPS and HACCP

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in a supervisory or training role as well as:

- Enthusiasm in driving not only berry quality, but a positive workplace culture overall
- Experience or training in a previous quality for food production role
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication, computer skills and data summaries
- Experience with internal auditing, desired
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Food Labelling and Legislation, beneficial.
