We have a Casual opportunitiy for Reception/Concierge at our Salvation Army THQ Redfern.

This role will effectively manage the foyer and reception area with a focus on excellent service delivery. This includes welcoming visitors who attend the reception area, monitoring people entering and exiting the building and providing assistance to visitors seeking support including people in distress and referring to appropriate persons or services where necessary. This position also provides administrative support to the Property Department.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for:

- Ensure the building is kept secure, according to protocols including front desk and building administration
- Manage visitor and contractor sign in process and access as required
- Answer incoming calls and forward or take messages
- Provide assistance and referral to visitors seeking welfare and/or pastoral assistance
- Assist the Property Facilities Team with Ad hoc administration tasks
- Assist FM with programming of access cards (not required for casual position)
- Prepare, sort, receive and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Management of pool and staff vehicle keys on behalf of Fleet Management
- Awareness of emergency procedures
- Participation in the building’s warden team

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in the role, you will have
- 1+ year of previous experience in a similar reception role
- Good verbal and written English skills
- Well presented
- Ability to use MS Office and moderate level of computer literacy
- First Aid qualified (or willingness to complete)
