Are you passionate about water safety and ensuring that swimming pools and spas meet the highest standards? Look no further The City of Stirling’s Development Services team is seeking a dedicated Swimming Pool Inspector to join our Verge and Swimming Pool team.

**About the Position**

The City’s Development Services team has an opportunity for a Swimming Pool Inspector to join our Verge and Swimming Pool team. There are over 13,000 private swimming pools within the City of Stirling boundaries and our small team of Swimming Pool Inspectors have the important responsibility of undertaking safety inspections of pool and spa barriers.

This busy team undertake between 4,000-5,000 inspections annually, ensuring the compliance of pool and spa barriers with relevant legislation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough inspections of private swimming pool barriers to assess compliance with the Building Act 2011, Building Regulations 2012, and relevant Australian Standards.
- Prepare, maintain, and meticulously document accurate records related to private swimming pool barriers and their condition.
- Provide expert information and technical advice to residents, builders, fencing companies, landscapers, and other stakeholders (both in person and over the phone) regarding swimming pool barrier and building control matters.
- Investigate and report on requests for service related to breaches of the Building Regulations 2012, specifically concerning private pool barriers.
- Problem-solve and provide advice while issuing notices related to swimming pool barriers.

- Valid WA driver’s license.

This maximum term full-time position is a Level 6 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary range of $82,652 - $87,002 gross per annum plus superannuation with a 3.75% increase coming into effect as of 1 July 2024.
