With continual growth and diversification, we are currently seeking for a Production Liaison to join our Bibra Lake office.
The Production Liaison will be the key point of contact (production) throughout the project and will maintain effective communication between the builder, Birdon and subcontractors and suppliers as required.

With continual growth and diversification, we are currently seeking for a Production Liaison to join our Bibra Lake office.
The Production Liaison will be the key point of contact (production) throughout the project and will maintain effective communication between the builder, Birdon and subcontractors and suppliers as required.
Roles at Birdon are defined to a certain extent, and our employees understand their key domains and what they’re setting out to achieve when they come on board. However, we don’t restrict people by their title or their function.
This role will include full responsibility for safety, quality, planning, and coordination of all production activities.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- As the production SME, providing effective support to the Birdon engineering team to ensure effective alignment with the build strategy and production standards to achieve project outcomes, maximising benefits to Birdon and the Customer.
- Development and distribution of periodic reports.
- Variation management result from designs or scope changes, assessing effects on cost, schedule and quality impacts.
- Identification and tracking of risks, actions, assumptions, issues, dependencies and decisions.
- Liaison with Project Manager to identify and report project performance, project risk and project variations
- Production and project planning, scheduling, control and monitoring for work scope, budgets and schedules and overseeing the performance of project tasks for Birdon and its subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensuring safety processes are complied with.
- Incident reporting and support to incident investigation.
- Role modelling of acceptable workplace behaviours consistent with Birdon’s Code of Conduct and values.
- Demonstration of skills such as compassion, active listening, simplifying complexity, clear and frequent communication, teamwork, influencing key stakeholders, motivating your team, responding constructively to feedback and solving problems.
- Management of and when required, reporting and escalation of poor workplace behaviours to the Shipyard Manager.

**Essential**:

- 10 Years Production or Project Management Experience in Construction, Maritime or related Industry with contracts up to $50m.
- Extensive experiences in managing multiple projects in parallel, meeting quality, cost and schedule.
- Experience managing a large team of people, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Autonomous and confident in internal and external stakeholder engagement.
- Australian Citizenship, with eligibility to hold an Australian NV1 security clearance.
- Service-oriented team player with a “make it happen safely” attitude.

**Desirable**:

- Formal qualifications in Project Management, or related industry.
- Project Management experience in the maritime domain.
- Engineering under-graduate qualification.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Open Plan Professional, Primevera and strong knowledge of Earned Value Management.
- Formal training in team leadership and/or people management.
