**Why Your Role Matters**:
The Research Assistant will provide research assistance to the Memory and Ageing Study 2 (MAS2). The position involves supporting the conduct in-person interviews with older adult study participants and their informants (a person who knows them well). The Research Assistant will support the administering of neuropsychological tests, a brief medical exam and a series of in-person questionnaires. The position also involves assisting the overseeing online questionnaires, entering the collected data, maintaining meticulous records, and assisting with general day-to-day tasks in aid of the study.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with recruitment of participants.
- Answer queries from participants electronically or by telephone escalating as required.
- Complete structured participant assessments at UNSW or in participants’ homes in a timely and accurate manner including overseeing online questionnaire components.
- Liaise with a nominated family member/friend (Informant) of participants in relation to assessments queries and/or troubleshooting.
- Assist with organising Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) appointments for subset of participants by liaising with participants, the hospital, and the imaging team.
- Coordinate and assist with providing written feedback about results to participants and their treating doctors as required.
- Assist with data entry and management, managing study databases including checking of data completeness, validity, quality, and security.

**Who You Are**:

- Minimum of an Honours degree or equivalent, in psychology, behavioural science or a related discipline or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and experience.
- Current Australian drivers’ licence
- Demonstrated experience with client/participant interviewing, preferably with older adults and individuals with dementia.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting neuropsychological/cognitive assessments; knowledge of/experience with online cognitive assessment is desirable.
- Excellent computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), online survey design (REDCap), Statistical software (SPSS) and generic and academic search engines.
