**The Role**
Make a difference in our community

Lead and support a team of specialists in addressing the social determinants of health and the delivery of Council’s health and gender equity planning, supporting partenrships and projects to progress this work. This role influences improved health and equity outcomes in the local community and supports Council to meet its legislative requirements in health planning and gender equity (Gender Impact Assessments). Current portfolios led by this position include Preventing Violence Against Women (PVAW), LGBTIQ+ and community health and safety planning. Further portfolios will be determined and aligned with the City of Whittlesea community vision - Whittlesea 2040 and the Community Plan.

**About you**
You are a strategic thinker, a positive, collaborative colleague, and empathic leader. You bring knowledge and expertise in staff supervision, equity, health and/or social planning. You are very organised and can juggle multiple priorities. You have great verbal and written communication skills and can build effective relationships across disciplines and the community to deliver great outcomes.
