**About this opportunity**

We are currently seeking an ambitious **Quality and Education Coordinator** to join our Care team at our **Moran Sylvania home.**

**As a member of the leadership team**, you will work closely with the Care Managers, and wider leadership team to provide high standard of care to our residents, through ongoing quality improvement and further education for our staff.

Responsibilities include leading the planning and coordination of the Quality Improvement Program at our Aged Care Home. This role also entails coordinating the delivery of our education programs. Extensive experience in education is not required, but a curiosity to learn more and develop your skillset is a must.

This role represents a unique career development opportunity for an aged care professional. The scope of the role is broad and varied with exposure to facility and care management, as well as corporate quality and change projects.

**About the Role**
- A broad and varied autonomous role
- Mentor a team of clinical staff
- Share expertise and knowledge with all staff to influence better outcomes
- Act as the first point of contact for training, development, and quality standards
- Manage education and training to provide a varied and comprehensive program to develop skills and capabilities
- Liaise with external suppliers and resources to provide ongoing education
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance outcomes for residents
- Manage continuous improvement function within the facility
- Participate in corporate lead projects
- Member of the facility Leadership Team

**About You**
- Registered Nurse with relevant registration and experience, or equivalent Health Care qualifications or appropriate Aged Care/business experience (not less than 3 years)
- Solution driven by nature with a constant focus on continuous improvement
- Passionate about quality care and curious about developing a deeper understanding of Education (you do not require a Certificate IV in Workplace Training)
- Strong computer literacy and systems knowledge
- Well-developed clinical knowledge
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Valid working visa
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination
