Christmas is meant to be a time of celebration and joy, but if times are tough it can be challenging and isolating.

We have an opportunity for a motivated and proactive person to be part of our Christmas Cheer team. We are seeking a casual Warehouse Assistant, reporting to the Warehouse Manager. You will assist in sorting, collection, storage and co-ordination of donated goods as part of the Christmas Cheer Campaign. This position is located at our temporary warehouse in Toowong.
- Please note, this will be a temporary position, operating from mid-late November 2024 through to early January 2025._

You will successfully
- Coordinate the pickup/delivery of all donated goods as per the instructions from the Warehouse Manager and in accordance with all WH&S manual handling procedures/protocols.
- Interact cooperatively and constructively with donor representatives, providing them with a positive experience of The Salvation Army.
- Provide warehouse floor assistance as needed, including sorting of toys and other general warehouse duties as requested
- Where required, support with administration in relation to pick-up and deliveries

You will have
- C Class Licence
- Experience in driving/operating commercial vehicles.
- Previous experience in a customer facing role.
- Willingness to undergo a national Police Check

Nice to have
- Experience in, or affinity with, the charitable sector highly regarded.
- Previous Warehouse experience highly regarded.
