We are looking for Telecommunications Linesworker to join our team.
About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Attaching wires and cables to appliances.
- Installing cabling for telephone, radio and computer transmission.
- Installing telecommunications equipment such as mobile telephones antennae, switchboards and data transmission equipment.
- Fibre Installation (Preparation, handling hygiene & termination of Ribbon & Multi-core fibre);
- Locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters.
- Erecting, testing and maintaining aerial lines, underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennae.
- Examining drawings and specifications to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following skills and experience:
- Qualification equivalent to AQF Cert IV or higher or min 3 years relevant work experience.
- At least 3 years working experience in cabling and trouble-shooting on a major telecommunication network.
- NBN enable qualified.
- First Aid & CPR required.
- Construction Card (White Card) required.
- Cabling and testing certificates required.
- Traffic Management card (Yellow Card) preferred.
- Confined space & gas detection preferred.
- Working at height preferred.
- Extensive understanding of networks.
- Australian (C Class) Drivers Licence required.
- Police check (within 6 months): Must be clear with no convictions.
Pay Rate: $72,000 p.a
