The Technical Analyst role is responsible for providing design, development and configuration services across all departmental approved platforms, such as Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce and ServiceNow. Duties include:

- Writing and communicating technical requirements for new and ongoing projects.
- Tracking, resolving, and documenting root causes of user technical problems.
- Developing and delivering operational reports and summaries of problems or technical difficulties.
- Assist with the assessment of infrastructure and platform tools to judge feasibility and usefulness of available tools and resources.
- Maintaining and updating software, hardware, and training materials.

**Accountabilities**:

- Facilitate workshops with relevant stakeholders to define the business problem, efficiency gain or improved customer service opportunity.
- Perform analysis and diagnosis of system defects including troubleshooting and debugging of code.
- Provide input to strategic thinking, innovation and process re-engineering to support the delivery of high quality solution outcomes that meet business and citizen expectations.
- Contribute to advising stakeholders in relation to functional requirements and design implications including cross program implications.
- Quality assures deliverables prepared by third parties, identify issues and provide clear recommendations for resolution.
- Adhere to the government, DSIM and SSU's strategies, policies and methodologies (e.g. PDM).
- Draft costing and timeline estimates on system development and enhancements.
- Support system and user acceptance testing activities.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
