The role you could play

We are seeking a dedicated Ministry Assistant You will be required to provide support in the development of ministries in the City of Playford, identifying and ensuring the needs of the Corps and local community are met. Additionally, you will demonstrate discernment, good stewardship while you work with Corps leaders to build and maintain sustainable faith pathways with a focus on, but not exclusively to, children and families.

Responsibilities include
- Identify, recruit, resource, give oversight, lead and develop volunteers and leaders for mission and deliver the relevant programs and services
- Work with the leadership team to provide pastoral care and support to the wider Corps, mission volunteers, workers, leaders and community members
- Engage in community activities and fundraising opportunities including, but not limited to, the Red Shield Appeal and Christmas events
- Pastoral care and discipleship activities undertaken with the leadership team
- Assist with children and family ministries as required

This is a maximum-term (2 years), full-time position based in Playford Corps, SA.
- Full SA Driver’s License
- A current and valid South Australian Working with children check
- A national police record check is required
- Compulsory Code of Conduct, WHS and Bullying and Harassment training modules are completed and up to date
- Abide by The Salvation Army policies and procedures and code of conduct
- An active member, or willing to become an active member of The Salvation Army
