**About Indochinese Aged Care Services**
The Facility was established to meet culturally specific needs of the aged population from Cambodia, China, Laos, Vietnam and South East Asia Countries.
Indochinese Aged Care Facility features a large open building with 88 secure and homelike modern rooms with ensuite. This provides an atmosphere that enhances comfort, convenience, security and well being for each of our residents.
**About the role**
Indochinese Aged Care Services catering division is seeking a kitchen hand on a **permanent part time** basis for minimum of 20 hours per fortnight. Working as part of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing high quality and nutritious food and delivering excellent service to our residents.
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and with a large team who are committed and being able make a difference in the lives of residents.
Duties may include:
- Assistance in meal preparation and serving
- Assisting Chefs with food prep & ability to follow recipes
- Maintaining and promoting clean and hygienic work practices
- Checking and recording temperature of food
- Compliance with Food Safety Program and HACCP guidelines
- Assisting with deliveries of stock and stock rotation
- Participate in ordering food
- Minimising food wastage
- Understand the needs and expectations of our residents
**About you**
The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve.
- Cooking/kitchen hand experience preferably in aged care
- Understanding of work health and safety practices
- Ability to work unsupervised and take on physically demanding tasks
- Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong focus, positive attitude and is well organised
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Team player with the desire to grow, learn and be part of team
