**As the Principal Program Officer, your key responsibilities will include**:
- Lead the design, implementation and monitoring of programs and initiatives in relation to the provision of high-quality services to seniors and Queenslanders with disability.
- Coordinate significant end-to-end procurement and grant processes including evaluation and selection of suppliers in partnership with various business areas and stakeholders.
- Review the performance of a diverse range of suppliers to ensure effective utilisation and value for money of the investment and make evidence-based recommendations for action.
- Establish and maintain review mechanisms to effectively monitor the progress and outcomes of program activities and prepare high quality, timely reports and briefing notes in relation to these matters.
- Support high level liaison, consultation and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders as part of the program management function.
- Prepare a range of high-quality written material including executive correspondence, briefing material, speech notes, presentations, reports, memorandums for approval, project plans, information papers and discussion papers.
- Actively participate in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with stakeholders within and across government and broader human services networks.
- Contribute to a professional environment through personal commitment to ethical behaviour, staff wellbeing, skills development, professional growth and continuous improvement.
- As a member of the team, undertake tasks allocated by the Manager and Director Program Design and Delivery in a constantly changing work environment to support innovation and efficient delivery.
You will have experience across the public, private and/or not-for-profit sectors and a strong background in program management, stakeholder engagement, and procurement and/or grant management. You will have a proven track record in dynamic and challenging environments along with governance policies and processes.
**Role specific/technical skills**:
- Experience in Queensland Government procurement and grants processes (including experience using _SmartyGrants_) will be highly valued.
