- AIM: To aid staff in administration roles when and where needed in a short term or longer term capacity in assistance of staff role. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and other volunteers. This role is as an aid/assistant role and not to replace a paid workers duties.

- Report to - Manager of relevant Department or Volunteer Coordinator
- duties:

- Report to manager or coordinator on arrival and departure to CAH
- Sign in and out in Volunteer activity book
- Seek assistance, guidance and information where necessary
- Use office equipment only after being instructed on correct and safe use (e.g. guillotine, binding machine, laminator, large staplers)
- Use equipment provided by CAH to produce booklets or information packs and follow a schedule to prepare information packs for teams
- Administrative aid duties including: photocopying, filing, typing, laminating, taking photos, Fold brochures
- Make up files/information packs for consumers/clients
- Count money
- Assist with mail outs if/when needed;
- Use a computer to enter data relating to specific programs or documents
- To conduct surveys within the CAH with patients for various departments
- Volunteers are not to push residents/patients in wheelchairs please get staff/porter to do this
- Protect confidential information from unauthorised disclosure and not use, disclose or copy confidential information except for the purpose of and to the extent necessary to perform your duties at Colac Area Health
- ** Please remember this role can expose you to sensitive information which is private and confidential; repeating any private and confidential information is in breach of the Privacy Act and can result in disciplinary action and or dismissal.**

- A commitment and willingness to undertake a volunteer role.
- Good organizational skills and communication skills
- An open, caring and non-judgmental approach to others
- Ability to work within a team and independently when needed
- Basic Computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, internet (not essential)
- Experience in an admin environment - highly regarded.
- Ability to respect the rights of patient, visitors, employees and other volunteers in terms of confidentiality, privacy, duty of care and dignity
- A good eye for detail
