As part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta, the Injury Management Advisor is accountable for supporting the delivery of injury management processes and providing best practice support and advice to staff and leaders across our diverse network of schools and offices.

**The Opportunity**

We have two exciting role opportunities to join our Health and Safety team as an Injury Management Advisor on a permanent basis.

Building a culture of safety is a key focus. This is a great role for someone who is looking to broaden their experience and share their expertise in injury management. The Injury Management Advisor is accountable for:

- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice and manage complex workers compensation matters
- Delivering best practice in injury management and early intervention practices to support the safe and durable recovery and return to work for injured and ill staff
- Actively engaging with injured and ill staff, their leader, doctors, insurers and other internal and external stakeholders during the length of the claim, optimising rehabilitation outcomes and developing strategies to support return to work goals
- Supporting non-work related injuries and illness with return to work
- Support the delivery of health initiatives and guidance including pre-employment medical requirements, manual handling and workstation assessments
- Participating in health and safety team programs and initiatives aimed at the prevention and mitigation of risks which may lead to further work related injuries

**What you will bring to the role**
- Experience in a similar injury management role with an employer, insurer or allied health service
- Tertiary qualifications in an allied health, health & safety or related field are highly regarded or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex claims including psychological claims
- Have completed or be willing to undertake the online SIRA Return to work coordination training
- Empathy and understanding in working collaboratively across a wide range of stakeholders
- Adaptability and commitment to learning
- Planning, organising and problem solving skills
- A high level of attention to detail
