The Billabong Hotel is located in the heart of Sydney’s western suburbs. In the central business district of Merrylands, we’re a dining and drinking destination for locals and visitors, offering a relaxing atmosphere to come and settle in for a good time.The infamous East West Bistro serves authentic Asian cuisine, as well as all your favourite pub fare classics.

This is a brilliant opportunity to become an Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Venue Manager in successfully operating a multimillion dollar business and will have the opportunity to support and grow the business to meet the market demands through your own initiatives. You will implement venue operations on a day to basis by leading the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

**What you’ll do**:

- Be a motivational and inspiring leader, develop and train the team to ensure an exceptional guest experience every time
- Manage the day to day operations of the Venue - open/close, back of house administration, recruiting team members, rostering and assisting guests
- Bring your passion for good food and creating moments that matter for our guests
- Be creative - develop and grow the business through your own initiatives

**What you’ll need**:

- Hospitality/Retail leadership experience, ideally working across food, bars and gaming
- Ability to lead, develop and coach a large, multi-skilled team
- Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets
- Highly developed customer service skills
- Current industry RSA and RSG/RCG qualifications
