**The opportunity**:
The main function of the role of Dietitian is to provide high quality health professional education and support, through consultancy in our clinics. This role will involve a variety of activities including clinical care, health promotion and health professional training.

**Key duties**:
In this role you will be expected to:

- Maintain accurate and timely records and data entries for internal and external reporting, including patient records, letters, appointments, services and weekly statistics.
- Communicate with clients and develop and maintain rapport including individual consultations and group education sessions.
- Communicate with clinical services, all Baker staff and key external contacts.
- Supervise dietetic students.
- Ensure own knowledge and skills in the area of nutritional and dietetics for diabetes, cardiovascular disease and obesity are of a high standard and in accordance with current clinical guidelines.
- Provide client centred education empowering clients to self-manage their condition.
- Attend and participate in weekly team meetings and case reviews.
- Conduct individual and group clinical session and programs as rostered by manager in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and lesson plans.

**Skills and experience**:
You will have:

- Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD).
- 1-2 years post graduate experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
- Competence with computer software programs and electronic databases, such as Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Police check and Working with Children Check.
- A high level of interpersonal skills, which enable the appointee to liaise effectively with a wide range of people at a variety of levels.
