Tennis Coach (Meriden), Casual

**Role Purpose**

Meriden School has a proud history of excellence in Tennis. The school has won the prestigious Tildesley
Shield Tournament for the past 15 years and has represented Australia in four World Schools
Championships, winning the gold medal in 2015. Meriden is looking for a passionate and dedicated coach
to join its impressive team to deliver a high-performance program.

The role of the Casual Tennis Coach is to assist the Head Coach and Southend Tennis - Senior Coach
and Centre Manager in the organisation and delivery of the tennis programs offered at Meriden and
Southend Tennis Centre. This role will predominantly involve the delivery of lessons to children aged 4
- 12 years and adults, but with the potential to develop athletes into tournament competitors.***

**Experience and Responsibilities**
- Assist in the organisation and delivery of lessons and programs at Meriden and Southend Tennis

Centre:
o Hot Shots
- Private and group lessons
- Beginner adult lessons
- Junior comps
- School holiday programs and tennis camp

**Essential Criteria**
- Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach Qualification or equivalent (preferred or with the

intention to seek further development opportunities)
- To be an effective communicator and a positive, flexible team member
- Be able to multi-task and problem solve efficiently
- Be able to plan and complete projects and achieve necessary time lines
- Outstanding organisation skills, ability and stamina to work in demanding environments
- Ability to communicate and motivate students in a variety of methods
- Australian citizen or permanent resident

**Other Skills and Attributes**
- Clear and effective written and oral communication skills
- Effective time management skills and the ability to work independently with little direct supervision
- Excellent ICT skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- A personal appearance and demeanour which represents the School in a positive way
