Domestic Cleaner

Connecting Care Support Services is a Disability Support Provider servicing NDIS participants in the South East Queensland Region including Moreton Bay, North Brisbane, Central Brisbane, South Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich and surrounding areas.

We are looking for Staff who are naturally positive, proactive, caring and adaptable. You must have previous experience in domestic assistance, be very passionate about making a positive difference in peoples lives.

**About the role**:
As a home care cleaner for participants with Disabilities, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in environments catering to individuals with disabilities. This roles requires compassion, patience, and attention to detail to ensure the comfort and safety of those living in the home.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Daily tasks may include but are not limited to: vacuuming, sweeping and mopping, tidying rooms, emptying waste bins, removing trash and recyclable material, cleaning and disinfecting kitchens, bathrooms and toilets, cleaning windows and other glass surfaces.
- Assist with decluttering and organisation of home environment.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure thorough sanitation while minimizing any potential allergens or irritants.
- Follow established protocol's and guidelines for cleaning and disinfection surfaces, equipment, and furnishings.
- Dispose of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Report and maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients with disabilities.
- Documenting cleaning activities according to instructions provided

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Pervious experience in cleaning or janitorial roles.
- A valid and current Drivers Licence and reliable and roadworthy motor vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Valid Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
- National Police Check
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and screenings as required by the employer.
- Right to work in Australia

Pay rates between 33.66 - 36.33 (inclusive of casual loading & Superannuation)
