**About the Opportunity**:

- Permanent ongoing role
- Enjoy a shorter full-time work week (35 hours)
- Based in Chatswood and West Ryde with some local travel required during work hours

This role forms part of a dynamic team which implements Link Wentworth's Community Housing Leasehold Program (CHLP).

This position requires an out-of-the-box thinker who is comfortable with variety, tenacious, resilient, and adaptable to pivot their work focus dependent operational needs and the challenges of the private rental market.

**You can expect to be involved in things like**:

- Helping Link Wentworth diversify its housing portfolio by building and maintaining relationships with private real estate agents and landlords (with the aim of encouraging them to agree to take on social housing leases in the private rental market)
- Educating real estate agents and landlords as to the benefits of leasing to social housing, and advocating for social housing tenants
- Researching and identifying potential properties in the private rental market that Link Wentworth could lease to social housing tenants
- Conducting property inspections, securing properties, and managing the lease signing process
- Ensuring Link Wentworth meets its lease agreement obligations and provides quality homes to its tenants by conducting pre inspections and detailing condition reports

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Class 1 Real Estate License
- Previous experience in residential property management / leasing
- Tenacity and drive to push forward in a rental market that is challenging and competitive
- An understanding of the barriers and issues facing people who live in or seek social housing
- Great interpersonal communication skills, influencing, and negotiation skills
- A creative mindset and willingness to think outside of the box to solve problems
- A passion for helping others

**You will also need**:

- A current driver’s licence valid in the state of NSW and willingness to travel within the local area during work hours
- At least two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations, meaning, having received the primary course of an Australian Government approved COVID-19 vaccination
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check to Link Wentworth's satisfaction
