Canteen Manager

We are seeking expressions of interest for a reliable, experienced and independent Canteen Manager to operate our popular and successful canteen for our 2024 football season, and possibly beyond. We are a non for profit sporting organisation who form part of the South Australian Amateur Football League and we are based in the Northern suburbs.

This role is a remunerated role which will be further discussed with the right applicant. Our canteen operations will be working from our brand new club rooms and you will be supported by our club volunteers during the season and be guided by our Club Executive Committee throughout.

Requirements will be Thursday evenings (2hrs-3hrs), and depending on home game schedules for Seniors and Juniors; Saturdays (4hrs-8hrs), and potentially Sundays (4hrs-8hrs).

Experience in canteen/shop/restaurant form of work would be advantageous as we will simply require the successful applicant to first open and prepare canteen for games. This would include preparing of warmers for pies, pasties, sausage rolls, hotdogs etc. and preparing deep fryer ready for: chips/gravy etc. (1 hour before the games). Once done you would then run the food prep such as cooking of the above foods while volunteers would run service from our canteen to our players, supporters including those from our opposing teams. Your final activity of each shift would be to then clean and close the canteen / kitchen ensuring it's in good order for your next shift (1 hour after the games).

Expected hours: 4 - 14 per week
