Montu are looking for an Afternoon Shift Team Leader. In this position, you will be instrumental in providing assistance and support to the Warehouse Manager with your hands-on operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily operational activities, including coordination of staffing needs such as rostering and administrative support duties
- Assisting in coordinating and overseeing the operations of receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse.
- Help train, manage, and oversee the warehouse team by assigning daily tasks and providing guidance.
- Ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse and in turn meet customer satisfaction goals
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Keep the warehouse neat and tidy to promote an organised and efficient work environment.
- Assist with ad hoc duties as required to support the achievement of departmental goals and objectives. Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations.
**Qualifications**
This is a hands-on role and requires someone with excellent people skills and who can lead by example. Our ideal applicant will have confidence in handling warehouse responsibilities and taking necessary actions as well as a coaching mindset to guide and develop team members effectively.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience leading a successful team of Pick Packers is essential
- Ability to work confidently and autonomously with mínimal guidance.
- Capable of keeping the team focused, on task, and working to set standards and expectations.
- Coordinating rosters, staffing requirements, and administration for a warehouse
- Ability to enforce accountability and have difficult conversations when necessary
- Promote a positive atmosphere within the team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to find practical solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work towards common goals
