We currently have a new and exciting opportunity for a Manager Legal Services to join our team on an ongoing basis. The role will be based in our Sydney Olympic Park Head Office with opportunities for flexibility.

The Office of Sport is the lead NSW Government agency for sport and active recreation.

Our work is spread across NSW, with ten Sport and Recreation Centres, five Olympic Sport Venues and offices throughout the state.

***About the role**:
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you be responsible for managing and leading on a range of complex and sensitive matters, including providing strategic and solution-focused legal advice and delivery and the formulation and evaluation of legislative proposals, on a diverse range of matters.

***About you**:
You will have:

- formal qualifications which include admission as a barrister or solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and hold a current solicitor’s unrestricted practicing certificate in NSW.
- extensive experience in providing highly complex legal advice at a senior level and conducting high level litigation.
- significant experience in one or more of the following areas: contractual matters; administrative law; legislation making.
- the capability to operate with a high level of authority in respect to exercising professional judgement on diverse legal, legislative and related policy issues.
- the ability to exercise sound judgement and effectively and ethically manage formulating and delivering strategic legal and policy solutions.
- well-developed organisation skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, high-volume environment with tight deadlines.
- experience and commitment to investing in the development of a small team and providing supervision on diverse matters, and
- you will share our purpose and passion for enabling everyone to play here
