**The Role**:
Northern Health is seeking an experienced librarian to join our growing, innovative library service. This role will extend clinical and research librarian capabilities, enable delivery of customised evidence-based expert search services to Northern Health staff and students, as well as involvement in the full complement of activities a library undertakes to deliver excellent service.

**This is an ongoing full time role with monthly Accrued Days Off.**

The role includes clinical and research librarian service delivery, library education activities and initiatives, implementation of library plans in accordance with set strategic goals, evolution of digital services and assets including meaningful well-executed online training capabilities, development and implementation of library policies/processes, and promotion of library services.

This role needs a librarian passionate about health services and hospitals who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and users of library services. The ability to build positive, productive working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders is a must, as is strongly developed teamwork skills.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Experience and good working knowledge of delivering effective clinical librarian and research librarian services in a health service or hospital setting
- Experience in creating and executing high quality, efficient search strategies across a range of key evidence-based clinical resources including search for systematic reviews
- Experience in the management of key systems that deliver information resources across Northern Health, such as the Spydus LMS, discovery layer and authentication prcoess, Springshare content management and institutional research repositories
- Experience in the delivery of an evolving virtual library that is based on user centred design
- Experience in working with a diverse range of customers, library users or other clients in a busy, multi-channel environment
- A proven track record in identifying and implementing library service innovation, in collaboration with others
- Proven skills in developing the online aspects of modern library services: creating and maintaining quality, relevant digital resources in written, audio and video formats for the library and the user
- Proven ability to collaboratively develop procedures, implement these and maintain relevant procedural documentation
- Experience in delivering high-quality effective user training and education in individual and/or group contexts
- Aptitude for supporting user reference enquiries and connecting our users with great library resources and experiences
- Experience in cataloguing and other collection management activities
- A strong focus on supporting user adoption of evidence-based information sources through a range of beginner, intermediate and advanced services

- A proven team-player who understands the benefits of collaboration and cooperation
- Recognised tertiary qualifications conferring eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association
