- Our client, a contract manufacturer of over the counter pharmaceuticals is looking for a Encapsulation Operator. As an encapsulation operator you will be responsible for operating and overseeing the encapsulation processes in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industry. This role involves working with equipment that encapsulates materials or substances within capsules or shells, ensuring efficient and precise encapsulation of the desired product. The operator's duties include setting up and calibrating machinery, monitoring production, conducting quality checks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Strong attention to detail, technical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures are essential for this position.**Responsibilities**:
- Equipment Operation: Operate encapsulation machinery and related equipment to encapsulate materials or substances within capsules or shells. This includes setting up, calibrating, and adjusting the machinery as necessary.
- Production Monitoring: Monitor the encapsulation process to ensure smooth operation and adherence to production schedules. Monitor equipment parameters, material flow, and output quality to identify any deviations or issues.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to verify the integrity and consistency of encapsulated products. Follow standard operating procedures and quality control protocols to ensure that products meet defined specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot any equipment malfunctions, process deviations, or quality concerns. Take appropriate corrective actions to maintain production efficiency and product quality.
- Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the encapsulation equipment to ensure its optimal performance. Clean and sanitize equipment, work surfaces, and production areas according to established protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including batch records, process parameters, quality checks, and any deviations or incidents encountered during the encapsulation process. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal documentation requirements.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials. Comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and good manufacturing practices (GMP) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel to communicate production updates, issues, and potential improvements. Actively participate in meetings and contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience operating encapsulation machinery or related equipment is preferred.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand and follow equipment manuals, operating procedures, and quality control protocols.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in production and quality documentation.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve issues during the encapsulation process.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy equipment or materials, if required.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
