THE ROLE

Position Purpose

The Grant Development Administrator supports researchers and research management staff around the University by acting as the first point of contact for the Grants Development team. This role will ensure that correspondence is returned in a timely manner, support excellent record keeping, maintain updates to both websites and SharePoint, and provide generalist administrative support for the Grant Development Team.

Key Accountabilities- In consultation with the Grant Development Managers, compile, update, review and administer relevant internal websites, SharePoints, and newsletters.- In consultation with the Director, Grants and Awards, assist with preparation of reports relating to the University’s research funding.- Comply with relevant EEO and WHS regulations.- Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification.

Selection Criteria- Degree in business administration with subsequent work experience, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.- Demonstrated experience participating in process improvements with a view to ensure best outcomes for stakeholders.- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities within tight timeframes.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Strong proficiency with computers including use of the Microsoft Office Suite and Office365.- Successfully working as part of a team, coordination complex matters and meeting deadlines.

Desirable- Understanding of the Australian Higher Education environment.- Experience of working in a university research management environment- Experience working with research management systems
