- preparing timely and authoritative expert advice and recommendations on emerging issues in fiscal strategy or credit ratings
- providing support in the preparation on the State Budget, Half-Yearly Review and the Report on State Finances
- representing Treasury in internal and external stakeholder engagement and consultations
- adapting to changing priorities, ambiguity and complexity in a time constrained environment.

**Your day as an Advisor**

Your daily tasks will involve conducting high quality fiscal analysis, including credit metric modelling, and advice to support the Government’s fiscal strategy and State’s credit rating. You’ll be instrumental in managing the State’s ties with Credit Rating agencies, carrying out research and analysis pertinent to the State’s credit rating, and aiding in the delivery of the State’s yearly credit rating reviews.

As a reliable Advisor, you’ll also lend your expertise in preparing the State Budget, Half-Yearly Review, and the Report on State Finances. This role necessitates the establishment and preservation of robust relationships with Treasury and external contacts.

**Achieve success as an Advisor**

You will be successful in this role if you have:

- Demonstrated experience in financial and/or economic modelling and forecasting, including the use of excel for financial or economic modelling
- Previous experience in Government financial management, banking financial or economic management and/or experience undertaking Government Credit Ratings
- Experience in succeeding in high pressure, dynamic and innovative environments
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, and strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to clearly convey technical and complex information in different ways (e.g verbal, written and presentations) appropriate to the audience and its purpose.
