The Injury Management Advisor is to develop and promote proactive injury management practices focusing on early intervention and injury recovery resulting in sustainable return to work. The position assists injured employees and their managers following workplace injury and ensures timely follow up of incidents to provide support and assistance to reduce the physical, social and financial impacts of workplace injury on employees and the business.

**Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to**:

- Manage individual portfolio of workers’ compensation claims in accordance with legislative requirements and best practice injury management strategies.
- Manage Crown’s early intervention program, liaising with preferred medical providers as part of the Crown Health Program.
- Maintain regular verbal and written communication with relevant parties such as: Injured Employees, Supervisors/Managers and Treating Practitioners when identifying, coordinating and reviewing appropriate suitable duties in line with employees work capacity.
- Ensure Return To Work plans are developed in consultation with all parties, are in line with work capacity and are distributed to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Regularly review work capacity, RTW goals and timeframes for rehabilitation goals.
- Review treatment plans, medical reports and requests to determine the reasonableness of treatment and medical and like expenses and other services.
- Support managers, and injured employees regarding the injury management and rehabilitation process.
- Work with WorkCover Advisor in developing strategies to positively influence RTW outcomes.

**The following criteria will be considered when reviewing applicants**:

- Tertiary qualification in Allied Health
- Minimum two years’ experience within the Injury Management/Workers Compensation/rehabilitation case management Industry preferred
- Relevant administrative/clerical experience
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
