**Role**:
Attendance requirement equivalent to old 50/52 model. Six Weeks annual leave.

Liaison with and coordination of outside contractors (including OHS requirements) in the agreed work on the College sites. For example: plumbers, builders, carpenters, electricians, cleaning contractors, waste and recycling removal. This includes inductions.
- Coordinate and support the College’s inspection regime in accordance with DET guidelines.
- Undertake maintenance tasks where appropriate including (but not limited to) minor repairs to furniture, fixtures and fittings, grounds and garden maintenance, checking and clearing roofing, spouts and drains, toilets and sinks, cleaning including graffiti removal.
- Check and maintain student lockers - including supporting the locker database records.
- Supervise and support the work of any School Council employed maintenance staff and volunteers, including the Cleaning Contractor.
- Manage the College’s Maintenance, Minor Works, Cleaning and AIMS Budgets, including their preparation and submission.
- Maintain appropriate records of maintenance, including the maintenance of the DET AIMS System.
- In liaison nominated College office staff member, support the maintenance of the College Asset Register with additions, removals and stocktakes.
- In conjunction with the College Council coordinate agreed improvement and development projects. Provide regular reports to Council on progress and on routine work completed.
- In liaison with the College Administration Team respond to and support responses to emergencies (including outside school hours).
- Understand and be familiar with the mechanical, electrical, heating, cooling, water (supply, waste, sewerage, fire), ICT systems of the College to support necessary maintenance and responses to interruption of service.
- Be familiar with the Asbestos Audit and comply with OHS Regulations with respect to the inspections of known asbestos and the requirements if any work is necessary.
- Liaise with the ICT Staff with respect to any work that may have an impact on the care and maintenance of ICT infrastructure and/or on the provision of ICT services.
- Liaise with the College Administration and Student Support Staff in regards to behaviours (students, staff, visitors) that impact on the care and maintenance of our College facilities and environment.
- In liaison with the College Administration Team support the appropriate security of the buildings and site including the security and maintenance of keys.
- Utilise, maintain and store tools and machinery in a manner that respects the health and safety needs of everyone on the site, including yourself.
- Liaise with staff and students with regard to maintenance needs, projects and responsibilities.
- Undertake all duties with knowledge of and due regard for the teaching and learning program in operation on any given day.
- Be responsible for opening or closing the school on a daily basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the use and maintenance of school buildings and equipment.
- Liaise and negotiate with service providers in respect to the cost and quality of services.
- Supervise the delivery of contracted services.
- Manage the development and collection of resource material at the school.
- Manage hire of facilities.

**Who May Apply**:
Trade qualifications and competency in one or more fields. (advantageous but not compulsory)
- OHS qualifications or a strong working understanding of - OHS including the use, labelling and storage of chemicals related to this work area.
- Computer operating skills - file management, database usage, web familiarity, word processing and spread sheet skills.
- Driver’s licence.
- Working with Children Check.
