Your new team
Orygen Specialist Programs (OSP) provides specialist mental health services, focusing on early intervention, for young people aged 15 to 25 (soon to be 12-25) with severe and complex mental illness.
The Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team provides specialist youth mental health care in custodial settings including the Parkville and Cherry Creek (in the near future) sites.
Your new role
- This is a multidisciplinary role and is open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists (Clinical, Forensic & Neuropsychology endorsed)._

You will be joining the team in a newly created role to help develop and support an enhanced model of care across Orygen Custodial FYMHS. In this role, you will:

- Support with development and expansion of custodial mental health services within youth justice settings.
- Assist and support young people in custody to address harmful behaviours resulting from problematic alcohol and other drug use.
- Support with the implementation of substance use evidence-based practice identification, assessment and interventions for client in youth justice custody.

About You:

- Relevant registration and qualifications (see attached position description)
- Have a demonstrated understanding of interventions for reducing alcohol and other drug related harm.
- Previous experience in the AOD sector
- Knowledge of the youth justice and/or criminal justice system and other relevant sectors
