**Head of Tax - Sydney Office - Max term contract**
We are seeking a talented Head of Tax to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Domain business and our key stakeholders by ensuring the acceptable level of tax risk and maximising value sought for our stakeholders.
**Who are you?**
- Develop and mentor the tax team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, support, learning and excellence.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality tax advice and solutions that are aligned with the business objectives and risk appetite.
- Work within and contribute to the tax risk and compliance framework for the business, including the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of tax risks and compliance obligations.
- Liaise and negotiate with the relevant tax authorities on tax audits and disputes and ensure the timely and accurate resolution of tax issues.
- Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of tax policies and procedures that reflect best practice and comply with tax laws and regulations.
- Drive the continuous improvement and automation of tax processes and systems, leveraging data analytics and technology.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the business units, the CFO, Audit and Risk Committee, the wider business, external tax authorities and external advisors.
**You have**:
- Extensive experience in tax advisory and compliance
- 15+ years tax experience desirable
- Strong tax effect accounting skills
- Corporate experience desirable
- Experience in leading and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Tertiary qualifications and Chartered Accountant / CPA / Legal qualifications
- Masters of Tax desirable
- Experience in establishing, updating and maintaining tax policies and procedures.
- Experience in process improvement
- Expert knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including direct and indirect taxes, transactional taxes, international taxes, and transfer pricing.
- Experience with CCH Global Integrator desirable
- Experience with D365 desirable
