Intro Recruitment has been engaged to recruit an
**_experienced Safety Advisor_** by a well-known Queensland-owned construction company. They are best known for their ability to deliver Aged Care, Education and Health projects of the highest quality, and have a fantastic portfolio of commercial, industrial, retail and defence projects.

**The position**:
As a result of recent project wins, we are looking for an experienced Safety Advisor (Building & Construction) to join an experienced team based out of the Newcastle branch to assist in the timely delivery of newly awarded Commercial and Industrial projects in the Northern NSW - new building works & refurbishments. They are looking to move quickly and can facilitate someone coming on board immediately.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Recent experience working as a Safety Advisor in a mid tier building and construction company in Australia.
- Technical experience to drive productivity and efficiency in line with the PMP.
- Working with the Project Manager to deliver and lead a safe and efficient build.
- You will have the ability to perform toolbox talks and perform site audits.
- Managing quality and WHS compliance.
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and client partners.
- Managing and coaching staff effectively, leading the site team in achieving both project and individual goals.

**About you (Safety Advisor)**:

- Must have 2+ years of recent experience working for an Australian building and construction company.
- Confidence in your abilities to communicate with Senior Management and subcontractors alike.
- Have the ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.
- Have a hands-on and proactive approach to your role.
- Minimum Cert IV in Health and Safety.
- Reside in the greater Northern NSW region.
- Competent computer skills.
