Ashurst Reach is the firm's dedicated flexible legal resourcing platform which provides the firm's clients and Practice Groups within the firm with access to a high quality talent pool of lawyers and paralegals. We understand that our clients need access to highly qualified lawyers and paralegals, often at short notice and/or for short periods, whether that be to meet internal client demands, backfill leave, provide cover during recruitment or to assist with specialised projects. We deliver a seamless, fast and trusted solution to these issues.
Ashurst Reach is an integral part of the firm's NewLaw division, Ashurst Advance. Our focus is solving our clients' business problems through optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness and digitally innovative legal service delivery.
**The Opportunity**:
- 6-7 months
- Full time (open to 4 days) (hybrid)
- Macquarie Park, NSW

**Skills and Experience needed**:
- 5+ years' experience
- Strong general commercial experience
- Experience dealing with supplier and customer contracts
- Advisory and compliance experience and comfortable providing legal advice relating to legal and compliance obligations (eg. competition and consumer law, privacy, product safety, quality and labelling)
- Ability to support the implementation of compliance frameworks and processes
- Experience in M&A, joint ventures, commercial contracts (retailers, suppliers, service providers) property, technology and data, intellectual property, credit, financing and security arrangements with retailers
- Experience in disputes and Investigations eg. litigation, disputes, insolvency/debt recovery, regulatory investigations
- Ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously and prioritise
- Ability to be a doer and confident being on the tools
- The ability to understand and adapt to the needs of the business
- A current practising certificate
