**About the Role**:
The Manager, Claims contributes significantly to the development and state-wide implementation of the department's policies, procedures, systems and strategies in relation to management of claims lodged pursuant to the Return to Work Act 2014, amendments and preceding legislation. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining department wide strategic and operational plans and management strategies for workers compensation claims and the provision of highly skilled leadership and management to a team of claims management consultants by demonstrating strong leadership skills, undertaking extensive data analysis, implementing quality assurance processes and monitoring and development of claims management staff. This position provides significant expertise and high-quality verbal and written advice to a wide range of departmental personnel and external agencies based on significant knowledge of relevant legislation, government / organizational policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
**Essential**: Appropriate tertiary qualification for injury management such as legal or health or significant working experience in a relevant field
**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO8 $119,317 - 123,822 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation
