**The Business**
Formed in 2009, Genus Infrastructure Pty Ltd (GNI) stems from a long family history dating back to the 1950's delivering end to end innovative solutions in many sectors across Australia, specialising in Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Communications & Renewable Energy.

**The Role**
***assist the Commercial team to deliver effective project outcomes in the areas of cost control, whilst also providing support to scheduling and contract administration. Reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager, the
**Cost Controller**'s
***daily responsibilities will include:

- Match requisitions and scope against WBS and budget, and provide feedback to Projects on variances, discrepancies or potential improvements against budget;
- Assist in the preparation and collation of project financial reports (weekly and monthly) including original budget, variations, revised budget, forecast cost to complete, forecast final cost, forecast final margin and close-out report;
- Provide required monitoring/reporting consistent with achieving contract deliverables within the agreed timeframes;
- Provide day to day interpretation of the contractual terms and conditions;
- Manage subcontractor and supplier purchases and invoices in line with contracts

**Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent Cost Control experience, ideally within construction or engineering;
- Strong understanding of Project Accounting, with a sound knowledge of Earned Value and WIP;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems;
- Excellent organisational and time management;
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and high attention to detail;
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.

**Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications**
- Qualifications within Construction or Engineering fields are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Communications & Renewable Energy infrastructure would be an advantage.
