We are looking for experienced **Composite and Structures Technicians**, who are professional people with a great attitude. You will be flexible in your approach and safety will be at the top of your priority list.

The positions will be in Tweed Heads, NSW carrying out Structural Repair of Aircraft Composite and Sheetmetal Components working dayshift.

**Responsibilities**:
Structural Repair of Aircraft Composite and Sheetmetal Components

**Main Duties**:

- Structural repairs to composite components made from (but not limited to) Fibreglass, Kevlar and Carbon Fibre.
- Assembling parts and subassemblies of aircraft structure.
- Conducting various repairs including sanding, vacuum bagging and composite layups.
- Repair of sheetmetal components including manufacture of sheetmetal parts, use of specialized tooling, heat treatment of manufactured parts.
- Preparing aircraft structural components for painting.
- Painting of components.
- Interpretation of drawings, repair orders and engineering orders.
- Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is certified correctly, IAW CASA regulations.
- Carry out post repair functional testing as required
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with technical documentation.
- Ensuring all Sigma Aerospace policies and procedures are adhered to.

**Qualification/s Required**:
Formal trade as a Structures Technician, preferably Cert 4 Aeroskills (Structures) or equivalent. In absence of formal trade qualification 6+ years’ experience as an aircraft structures technician.

**Essential Skills**:
Highly skilled in carrying out aircraft mechanical and structural repairs.

**Employment Experience**:
Minimum 5 years trade experience excluding apprentice or TA positions.
