- Starting immediately

The duties of the Assistant include ordering and shopping for supplies, preparing practical classes and demonstrations, setting up before classes, cleaning and storing equipment after classes, safe food handling and storage, and ensuring that all equipment is in a good state of repair.
- Experienced in kitchen duties, preferably in an educational environment
- Willing to work as part of a team (including another assistant working the other days of the week) and assist teachers and students
- Available to work 15 or 22 hours per week over 2 or 3 days during school terms (40 weeks per year)
- Knowledgeable about Occupational Health & Safety requirements
- Relevant qualifications including a Food Handlers Certificate e.g. ANTA (Australian National Training Authority) endorsed individual competency SITXFSA101 - Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety.

The standard working day is from 8:25am to 4:30pm. Twelve weeks of annual leave, taken during school holidays, applies to this role. Four of these weeks are paid and eight are unpaid.
