We are an established, growing, and locally operated business located in Ashfield NSW. We have a small team of gardening professionals and we are looking to add another member to our team.

We specialize in residential, commercial and government garden maintenance and have a good mix of clientele. We are known for our detailed and high quality work/projects strictly focusing on clients based in the Inner West.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Managing single or multiple sites per day (will be with a senior for the first 6 months minimum)
- Working alone or with a small team of up to 3 (as per above)
- All aspects of lawn care
- Use of lawn mowers - self-propelled
- Use of a whipper snipper
- Hedging, pruning and minor tree pruning using hedge trimmers and saws
- Weeding, mulching and general garden care
- Preparation and minor maintenance of all equipment being used in day-to-day duties
- Support fellow employees to develop new skills and achieve employment goals
- Ensure contract specifications and scheduling requirements are being met
- Knowledge of plants, pest and diseases is a bonus but not essential

**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for applicants with experience in lawn care maintenance and gardening, as well as the following:

- Certificate II or higher in Horticulture (Landscaping/Parks and Gardens) or a minimum of 2+ years industry experience in a similar lawns and garden maintenance role
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to assess and complete tasks as they arise
- A high level of customer service
- Fit with a Broad-minded “can do” attitude
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Safety conscious attitude ensuring tasks are always completed to a safe standard
- Willing to provide a National Police Check
- Working with Children or be willing to obtain
- Willing to provide a clean driving record and history

**Eligibility requirements (Essential)**:

- Minimum 2+ years experience mowing lawns, edging and general gardening
- Be experienced with relevant machinery used within the industry;
- Be polite, honest and reliable;
- Have a keen eye for detail, and a love of the outdoors;
- Have some form of knowledge relating to pest and disease control, pruning and shaping, lawn care;
- Experience and/or an interest in landscape construction is desirable;
- Horticulture qualifications (or currently studying Horticulture) is desirable
- A drivers license is essential

**What you can expect**:

- Hourly rate from $30+/hr. plus superannuation (dependent on experience and qualifications)

- Normal working hours are 7.15am to 3.15pm with further earning opportunities available
