QRIC provides a strong and impartial oversight of the Queensland Racing Industry through a governance structure with specific integrity assurance and investigation functions associated with all codes of racing (currently thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing).

**This role is accountable for**:

- Managing a caseload of highly complex files including those relating to the forfeiture of an animal or other thing and animal welfare directions, as well as internal reviews and external reviews by the Racing Appeals Panel (RAP) and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).
- Communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders, verbally and in writing, in a professional and engaging manner.
- Ensuring that decision making is logical, impartial and evidence based, in accordance with the rules of racing, including the national and local rules and licensing and registration.
