Skilled Accounts Payable Specialist required for a highly regarded organisation based in the CBD. Short term for 3 weeks but could extend. 3 days p/w.

**The Company**

The organisation are a highly regarded non-for-profit organisation based in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. They provide an amazing service to their community members and are an ideal home for anyone who enjoys working with an organisation who give back. They will provide initial in office training for this position then offer the choice of working from home or in the office for part of the week. Currently team members work 2 days in the office (Tuesday and Wednesday) with 3 days working from home. Offices are easy to access by public transport if you are travelling from out with the CBD. This is initially an immediate start, short term position for circa 3 weeks starting in mid-August but there is a chance that the position could extend on an ongoing basis.

**The Role**

You will work under an experienced Finance Manager and will support for a minimum of 3 weeks initially. The position may extend on depending on internal workload. This position will commence as early as mid-August, so we are ideally looking for someone with immediate availability.

Some typical duties will involve:

- Allocating large volumes of invoices to the correct GL accounts and departments
- Communicating with other internal departments and stores to follow up queries and ensure necessary approvals
- Preparing and checking daily payments
- Daily reporting on payments
- Attending to ad hoc matters at the direction of management
- Trade expense statement reconciliations
- Management of trade expense queries
- Weekly and monthly reporting to management
- Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and wider AP team
- Maintain and set up of all new suppliers
- Willing and able to be involved with company initiatives

This position is moving quickly and is perfect for anyone seeking contract/temp opportunities with a quick start. There is a chance that the position could lead to a longer assignment.

Role is also ideal for anyone with AP experience overseas who can start quickly and is looking to make their first move into the Australian market.

**Your Profile**

You will have a background in accounts payable with a minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- High volume processing experience
- Able to start immediately
- Happy to commit on an ongoing temporary basis
- Prior exposure to using Xero
- Warm, friendly personality
- Good excel skills
- Comfortable working in Melbourne CBD
