UGL’s Utilities Operations & Maintenance business is a trusted provider of services to owners of assets across power, water, and gas sectors. Building on our strong reputation and long-standing contracts in power distribution, transmission, and water operations and maintenance, we are poised for significant growth.
- As we prepare for this exciting new phase, we’re launching a new Utilities Operations and Maintenance business in Western Australia. We are seeking Expressions of Interest for an experienced Powerline Scoper to join our team based out of Canning Vale.

**The Role**
- This role will collaborate with a diverse operational team. You will be responsible for powerline inspections, ensuring that both desktop and site scoping requirements are managed and completed at a high standard.
- Manage and execute all Site Scoping requirements
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and assessments of powerline infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams for seamless integration of findings
- Identify and document issues, hazards and maintenance requirements
- Completing and providing detailed reports on inspection findings and material requirements
- Manage and execute all Desktop scoping requirements
- Plan scoping operations to consider Environmentally Sensitive Zones, Rail/road consideration, schools/businesses etc
- Develop strategic plans for effective execution of powerline projects
- Working closely with our Operations team on the overall project requirements
**What makes you right for UGL**
- Ideally you will have proven experience as a Powerline Scoper with material ordering and planning expertise.
- Trade-based qualification in a discipline such as Trade Certificate or Distribution / Transmission Overhead (Glove & Barrier desirable)
- Certificate 3 Distribution Cable Jointer or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiar with inspection tools, technology, and project management
- Ability to provide a safe, supportive, and positive workplace
