**About the Role**
Join BOQ Group, in a newly created opportunity as Scrum Master.

This position will see you responsible for leading a team of Retail Change and Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialists and driving the delivery of the Change and CI portfolio across BOQ, Virgin Money and ME, using agile methodology.

As part of this role, you will also support the execution of the Retail Organisational Change and Continuous Improvement strategy to foster positive connections between our teams and the Retail Bank’s change and CI agenda, achieve increases in key metrics across change adoption and engagement, and contribute to driving positive customer and people sentiment across our Retail brands and channels.

Key responsibilities:

- Support strategic execution of the Retail Organisational Change and Continuous Improvement strategy and influence positive adoption of the Bank’s change and continuous improvement agenda
- Delivery, coaching and protection of the agile process while maximising value created by the team through the use of agile ceremonies (including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives), and by facilitating removal of impediments along with resolving any conflict
- Set and measure the Change and CI Specialists’ output plan, create visibility, and determine the sprint commitment
- Resource planning, and collaborating closely with teams across the Bank to ensure delivery against agreed timelines
- Collaborate with peers to influence and engage senior stakeholders across the Group and synthesise individual change plans into strategic packages of change for Retail Brands and Distribution teams and customers, and ensure business readiness for change, and support alignment with the Retail Communications Plan
- Continually assess both discrete and whole-of-portfolio risks and resistance, and work with stakeholders to manage and mitigate
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to drive innovative ways of working, ensuring outputs are appropriately tailored to each of our distinct brand personas and fit-for-purpose for each of our varied customer-facing teams
- Coordination and facilitation of key governance practices (including change load distribution) and forums to ensure effective change management and continuous improvement prioritisation and execution across the Retail Division
- Consistently measure change and continuous improvement outcomes and impact, turning insights into actions to drive positive outcomes
- Lead, mentor and coach direct reports and peers across the bank to uplift change and continuous improvement capability and maturity

**About you**
- Experience in leading agile delivery across multi-brand Retail businesses including the ability to manage the full Scrum cycle activities for multiple programs concurrently
- Proven experience creating and delivering whole-of-portfolio strategic change programs within complex, multi-brand organisations with competing priorities
- Strong communication skills, proactively communicating with Product Managers, business process owners, technical leads and development / operational teams to understand changes to systems and/or processes
- Exceptional experience in collaborating with internal partners to deliver at pace through the development and maintenance of strong relationships
- Ability to prioritise activities based on business needs and requirements
- Strong coaching, consultation and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders including senior management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present actionable insights and plans
- Extensive scrum master experience ideally within financial services
- A willingness to tackle complex problems and use critical thinking, your network, skills, knowledge, and available data to drive better outcomes for our colleagues, customers and BOQ Group.
- Proven understanding of complex risk and compliance requirements
- Tertiary or industry qualification is highly desired (Agile facilitation qualifications will be viewed favourably)
