Trainee Assessor

This is a great opportunity to kick start a new career in assessing claims with full training and support provided. Our Client is a boutique, reputable and well established Insurance firm who specialise in accident and sickness protection based in modern offices in Manly.

You will manage a portfolio of Income Protection claims and your responsibilities will include:

- Completing initial claims assessment sheets with detailed action plan
- Managing of claims from notification to file closure
- Updating, liaising, responding to & answering questions from brokers, claimants and stakeholders
- Conducting timely investigations in relation to coverage and medical issues
- Engaging with appropriate experts to assist with claims assessments
- Managing an effective diary system

To be considered for this role you will have:

- Customer service or administration experience
- Allied health or nursing experience highly desirable for a medical knowledge perspective but not essential
- Resilience and be adaptable
- Excellent written & verbal communications skills
- Strong attention to detail & high numeracy skills

Salary guide is $60,000 - $70,000 + Super dependent on experience. Standard hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm and offer flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week after 3 month settling in period.
