**About the service**
In a peaceful, rural area south of Brisbane, Logan House based at Chambers Flat, offers a residential alcohol and drug treatment program, which is part of a continuous package of care. Our Residential Treatment program at Logan House has serviced the community for over 35 years. With the goal to encourage residents to live life well Logan House offers a specialist alcohol and drug treatment residential program for people aged 18 years and over. Our program aims to provide a safe and supportive environment free from alcohol, illicit substances and non-prescription medication to support our resident’s treatment journey.
**Your opportunity**
As a Treatment Facilitator (PUP), you’ll engage and support your clients in their individual case management and Alcohol and Other Drug counselling, facilitate clinical modules (including Parents Under Pressure groups) with the wider residential community and provide treatment and support throughout their journey.
This is a permanent part time opportunity, working 30.4 hours per week. The hourly rate of pay for this position is $47.50 to $49.65 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications, and access to salary packaging as a Not for Profit organisation is available as well.
**_What does this mean? _**
You’ll be working within a large multidisciplinary team, who are client focused, have a drive to learn and improve so you’ll need to hit the ground running. This is a role that has a big impact. You’ll thrive in this fast paced environment, managing sometimes complex client needs and behaviours and will be working with adults with a range of AOD, mental health or other life skills needs - helping them to increase their confidence and skills in parenting. You will also support other Treatment Facilitators to work with the clients in managing the parenting aspect of their journey.
As a senior member of the wider team, you will also provide support and direction to the Support Workers, and you will also be required to **work a swing shift once a week from 1pm-9pm **where you will be the lead. You will also take on a further responsibilities from time to time, to step in as proxy for the Team Leader for periods of Leave, or to attend meetings on their behalf.

**What you’ll bring**
While we’d love for you to be PUP trained, we do require someone with experience working with families, with a parenting focus for this role. You’re flexible and resilient with a positive open mind, with a focus on working collaboratively.
You are a seasoned professional, from a social work, psychologist or counselling background in the Not For Profit space, and you’re passionate about helping people, providing a safe place and holistic support that can have an impact on peoples lives - you enjoy working together as a team, and love a challenge.
As this is a clinical role, there are some ‘must haves’:
- Tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling or mental health
- Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD clinical practice
- Demonstrated expertise in residential treatment service delivery with a sound knowledge of the potential risk elements specific to this type of environment.
- Highly developed communication and engagement skills.
- Experience in developing and delivering education programs and group facilitation.
- A flexible and collaborative approach to working within a team.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and professional development
While not essential, we’d also love you to have:
- Parents Under Pressure certification
- Experience in counselling approaches with AOD experience
