Elicos Tesol Teacher

Kingsway Institute is an accredited English language college that offers high-quality General English, Academic English, and IELTS/PTE preparation courses. Our college has a friendly and vibrant atmosphere with a diverse mix of nationalities. We are located in Sydney's CBD, just a 2-minute walk from Central Station.

Currently, we are seeking General English teachers for our evening classes, which are held from Monday to Friday (4 pm - 8:20 pm).

Essential Requirements:

- A recognised TESOL/CELTA qualification
- A recognised degree or equivalent
- Capable of teaching students with mixed abilities
- Current Working With Children Check (WWC) (this can be obtained after placement)
- Presentable and passionate about teaching.
- Familiar with syllabus-based teaching including ongoing student testing.
- Applicants must have Australian work rights.
- Capable of teaching composite classes as some classes have students with mixed abilities ranging from elementary to upper intermediate level
- Classroom management skills; maintaining an inclusive & supportive learning environment

The following are desirable:

- TAE40122
- TESOL/IELTS/CSWE/PTE experience

**Teaching duties**
- Preparing & conducting classes from beginner to advanced English language skills for ELICOS programs.
- Assessing the extent of students’ language difficulties & adapting lessons
- Administering & assessing class tests
- Monitoring student progress

**Administration duties**
- Maintaining accurate attendance records
- Maintaining accurate records of class test results
- Maintaining records of daily lessons

We are always looking for GE teachers who can do relief work for both morning and evening classes.
