Interior Designer

Position Title: Interior Designer (Full Time)

Report to: Director/Manager

**Salary**: $77,000 + superannuation

Work location: Paramatta, NSW

Luton Design is an Interior Design firm located at L14/ 32 Smith St, Parramatta, NSW. We are a National interior design firm providing Interior design, Branding design and graphic design service for Commercial and residential projects.

Key duties:

- Work with the interior design team to consult with clients and stakeholders, defining the objectives and constraints of the design brief.
- Investigate concepts and materials to support the design team on technical issues, ensuring spatial, functional, efficiency, safety, and aesthetic requirements are met.
- Develop and propose design concepts for building interiors that align with project requirements and client expectations.
- Prepare sketches, diagrams, illustrations, 3D renderings, and plans to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate and negotiate with clients, management, suppliers, and construction staff to finalize design solutions.
- Choose furniture, materials, decor, and finishes that align with the design brief and budget, enhancing the interior space.
- Document and detail the selected designs for construction, ensuring all technical specifications are included.
- Oversee the construction processes as needed, ensuring that designs are implemented correctly and providing creative solutions on-site to address any issues.
- Perform on-site measurements and surveys of construction sites, translating these into accurate layout plans and sketches.
- Coordinate tasks to ensure timely completion from concept to final project delivery, providing recommendations to streamline ongoing design projects.

Experience/qualifications/knowledge:

- Relevant tertiary qualification - minimum of a bachelor’s in interior design.
- At least 2 to 3 years of work experience in Commercial Interior Design or similar areas.
- Must have a portfolio demonstrating experience from conceptual work to the delivery of the design project.
- Understanding of spatial functionality, efficiency, and safety requirements.
- Multi-languages speakers preferred.

Pay: $77,000.00 per year
