Procurement Specialist

Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist (parental leave cover) who has strong commercial experience and stakeholder management to join our team reporting to the Procurement Manager.

As the Procurement Specialist you are responsible managing a group of vendors and supporting our production sites across Australia. You will deliver best cost to the business in line with budgeting processes.

Work for an iconic and reputable Australian food manufacturer in a fixed term (12 months) full time role based at our Sugar Australia Head Office in Yarraville, Melbourne. A flexible working policy is in place, which enables a working from home option.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- To support procurement value generation across the business of Sugar Australia through sound commercial management
- Support Group wide procurement activities though the provision of data, analysis and insights to the wider business
- End to end supply chain for appropriate categories to identify and evaluate opportunities to deliver value and drive EBIT growth across the business
- Provide commercial expertise within the broader Sugar Australia businesses that eliminates waste and drives commercial value.
- Manage the allocated Procurement Categories at Sugar Australia with a focus on identifying & implementing cost & risk reduction initiatives within the areas of Packaging, Contract Packers, Raw & Process Materials
- Delivery, analysis and evaluation of tender documentation for the nominated Categories at Sugar Australia.
- Project Management in the area of packaging procurement would be desirable
- Build and Manager external and internal stakeholders across the wider business.

**What we're wanting you to bring to the table**:

- Tertiary qualification in Business/Supply Chain/Procurement
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Procurement
- Advanced skills in Word software: PowerPoint, Excel, SAP experience is desirable
- FMCG industry experience is desirable
