We are looking for an energetic, hands on production administrator. This is an opportunity to grow your leadership skills where you will also be assisting the teams in the afternoon in a 2IC type role in the absence of the supervisor.

**What will I contribute?**

You'll be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks in order to coordinate the Production/Processing team and category/orders team and assisting the production floor in the afternoon hours when required.

**Here's what you'll be doing.**

Customer and Supply Communication and Support
- Ensure all stock receivals are being checked and booked correctly in the sytem on daily bases, Ensure that end of the day stock take carried out and physical stock is balancing in the sytem.
- Ensure all orders sheets are being given to the packing and processing team at right cut off time
- Coordinating packing/processing team and category team and orders team regarding any shortages and order changes communication.
- Processing daily orders in the system after finishing of the production.
- Communicating to RDC team regarding orders and shortages when required.
- requesting QA for any assessments to be done on incoming stock.
- Communcating to accounts team if there is any descrepencies.
- Undertake timely and prompt communication to all team members/ stakeholders of any LR issues
- Always ensure a safe working environment for all staff, continuously improving standards.
- To meet shifting deadlines reacting quickly to manage high volume production demands with short lead times and to plan effectively both short and long term.
- To ensure food quality and safety standards exceed audit standards at all times.
- Filling Supervisor duties in the afternoon and absence of supervisor.
- To deliver goods to our customers within their specifications and expectations.

To understand your cost of doing business (CODB) and proactively improve processes and systems.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

**Quality Management**
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP standards to meet PFA Quality System standards.
- Ensure all production compliance checks are being undertaken.
- Ensure compliance to all QA related outgoing product and product movements documentation.
- Management/control of non-conforming product (identification, segregation, disposal).
- Ensuring that production employees have adequate QA training and are following quality checks and procedures.
- Ensuring the handling and distribution of produce is handled in accordance with company standards.

**People Management**
- Assisting employees’ activities (in the absence of the supervisor
- PM) to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicating requirements and priorities with Line Leaders.
- Analysing and continuously improving production processes and facilities.
- Ensuring the effective operation and utilisation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (Ironbark) system and ‘Think Fresh’ production planning software.
- Manage resourcing issues to ensure that there are adequate levels of staff available during peak seasons.
- Ensure employees comply with policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Monitor work performance and timesheets of labour hire employees.

**Occupational Health and Safety**
- Ensuring that the OH&S Policy is followed and making recommendations through consultation with the staff as well as to the Occupational Health & Safety Committee (via HR Manager) in relation to ongoing health and safety improvements within Production area.
- Managing and reporting hazards and minimising risks to the health and safety of employees as well as addressing on site issues such as correct manual handling and soft tissue damage avoidance.
- Ensuring that all forklift drivers, machine operators have appropriate certification and operate machinery in accordance within WorkCover standards

**What do I need for the role?**

You'll have:

- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar administrative role within FMCG and manufacturing
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Good time management and planning skills to work in a in a challenging and fast paced environment
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Innovative self-starter with accuracy, attention to detail.
- The required skills and experience may have been gained through a manufacturing or process-oriented environment with experience working as a Production Admin/Packing Supervisor.
- Knowledge of fresh produce is critical with an understanding of the constraints, fluctuations in demand and challenges of a seasonal natural product.
