Due to continued growth, our client, Haulotte Australia Pty Ltd, is looking for a technically skilled trade professional to support our growing service business in Welshpool, Perth. The Fitter (General) is responsible for supervising and improving production, repair and warranty of machines. This role works closely with Group Designers and Global Manufacturing Leads to assist and modify the design and construction of Haulotte EWP’s to meet ANZ strict safety protocols and requirements. This role is also involved in the coordination of manufacturing activities and takes on administrative tasks, including Training and mentoring new PDI employees. Job tasks and responsibilities Include: - Supervise the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner - Liase with the Group’s product safety team to provide R&D input - Analyse and validate local options within Australia for time/cost improvements to fit units - Analyse workflow within the Workshop to diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training to maximise output of machines - Designing and validation of locally fitted option on machines, sourcing local components and producing installation instructions - Keep abreast of advancements in engineering and production, and sharing knowledge with co-workers - Diagnose & repair machine faults including Major Inspections and Servicing, using diagnostic equipment - Machine re-certification

Skills and experience - Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification required - Established culture in Continuous Improvement and lean principles - Keen problem solver utilising root cause analysis methods in diagnosing problems and provide solutions - Strong knowledge and experience in the automotive OEM quality system - Experience in metal fabrication, welding, CNC machining and assembly production processes - Approachable with Excellent Reasoning skills - Proficiency in MS Office - Proven experience in the engineering field - Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills - Strong leadership abilities - Ability to make decisions under pressure - Great attention to detail and organizational skills
